Sabinsa’s latest skin care ingredient, Babchiol (INCI: Bakuchiol), extracted from Psoralea corylifolia, is presented as a retinol alternative to offer the same anti-aging benefits as retinoids but gentler, and without the risk of adverse effects. The company will debut the product at the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) Suppliers' Day, to be held at the Jacob Javits Center in New York from May 1 - 2, 2024.

Other naturally derived ingredients highlighted at the show will include Proscalpin (INCI: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Liquid Endosperm (and) Emblica Officinalis Fruit Extract (and) Methylseleno Carboxypropylglutamine), a patented, clinically studied blend for healthy hair care; as well as natural skin care actives for UV protection and melanogenesis inhibition, respectively: PTeroWhite (INCI: Pterocarpus Marsupium Bark Extract) and Sabiwhite (INCI:Tetrahydrodiferuloylmethane).
Furthermore, Anurag Pande, Ph.D., Sabinsa’s vice president of scientific affairs, will give a presentation on May 2, from 10:35 – 11:00 a.m. in Meeting Room 1A02 on, “Nourishing Beauty – The intersection of Nutrition and Cosmetics," as part of the Inspiration and Innovation in NutriCosmetics track. Pande additionally will present guidance for brands seeking to add natural, sustainable ingredients to their formulas.
