As we said last week, there are a number of ways to measure the stability of formulas; real-time and accelerated are perhaps the two most common.
We also noted Luigi Rigano's suggestion to put samples in their final packaging in the trunk of a car and drive it on different days for a total of at least 2,000 km (~1,243 miles), then examine samples.
Product stability has been, and probably always will be, a challenge for formulators, so last week's poll asked: What is Your Preferred Method of Product Stability Testing?
Here's how you responded.
Poll Results
- Real-time testing 13%
- Accelerated stability testing 28%
- Both equally 59%
Be sure to check back for next week's poll!
