Coty has assembled its first scientific advisory board, which held an inaugural meeting on Sept. 24, 2024, at the company's Skincare Research and Innovation Center of Excellence in Monaco. There, the group convened to discuss current themes in skin health and repair. It's a timely move, considering today's major consumer push for data-driven, scientifically validated products.
The board serves as a forum for the exchange of cutting-edge ideas, innovative thinking and rigorous challenge to strengthen efforts and help shape future skin care. It also aims to align the latest science with emerging trends and consumer needs, to enhance Coty’s leading position in skin science.
Meet Coty's Scientific Advisors
Per the company, the board joins globally renowned scientific experts from diverse technical disciplines, selected for their unique expertise and contribution to cutting-edge research. They include:
- Miriam Merad, M.D., Ph.D. – Director of Precision Immunology Institute - New York,
- Emma Guttman, M.D., Ph.D. – Professor of Dermatology & Immunology - New York,
- Patrick Bui, M.D. – Head of Plastic Surgery Department American Hospital - Paris,
- Professor Selim Aractingi, M.D., Ph.D. – Team Leader, Cutaneous Biology Labs, Cochin Institute - Paris,
- Professor Wei Liu, M.D., Ph.D. – Dermatologist - Beijing,
- Professor Deng Xingwang – Professor of Life Science - Beijing, and
- Jaci Santana, M.D. – Dermatologist – Recife.
The board will convene twice a year to inform and inspire breakthrough innovations within Coty’s R&D specialists.
