The evening closed with a live band performing hits from across the decades. They energized guests, who got up on the dance floor, proving once again that serious scientists who work hard can also play hard.

Personalization, planet-friendly formulating, ingredient advances and more took to the stage on the third and final day of IFSCC 2022 London. The congress rounded out with the "innovation in action" challenge, closing with the celebratory awards gala.

Baroness Susan Greenfield, of NeuroBio, opened with a keynote lecture describing connections between the skin and brain.

Neuroscience, sensory effects, omics, spectral impression and more filled out the second day of IFSCC 2022 London, themed "Science of our Time." Talks included emotional response to cosmetics and fragrance, even crossing into the auditory realm.

Tomonobu Ezure, of Shiseido, presented a highly engaging video demonstrating how tension differs in skin, the causes of it, and its implications in skin sagging for a novel anti-aging approach. More specifically, he identified how fine hair fibers within the 'voids' of skin collagen 'rings' can remodel the surrounding collagen rings.

Delivering Efficacy, Well Aging and the Microbiome: Day 1 at IFSCC London 2022

Day one of IFSCC opened with a deep dive into delivering product efficacy; skin health/protection and well aging; the skin microbiome; and advances in hair science. Notably, there was standing room only for talks focused on skin aging and luminescence.
