Fig. 1 Makeup Wipes with Instant Melt Technology
According to Google Trends, searches are up 1,200% on "Fig makeup wipes," which probably refer to the Fig. 1 beauty brand. The Strategist recently named Fig. 1 makeup wipes among the best 15 makeup removers. These micellar oil cleansing wipes incorporate grapeseed oil and squalane. They were created in partnership with Conserving Beauty, which has an Instant Melt substrate technology that after use, disintegrates with rinsing.
Ingredients: Fig. 1 Micellar Cleansing Wipes: Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Squalane, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Borago Officinalis (Borage) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Linoleic Acid, Phospholipids, Phytosterols.
Pancake Makeup Brands, Max Factor, Kryolan
Searches on "pancake makeup brands" are up 350% per Google trends, with no apparent connection to news except for mentions of P&G's discontinuing the Max Factor brand in the U.S. more than 10 years ago. One Buzzfeed story in 2023 described Max Factor pancake makeup as one of the best old-school products "still around." About a year ago, C&T reported Max Factor pancake makeup was trending as well.
In the past week, a YouTube video was released featuring a different brand of cake makeup, Kryolan, for its traditional buildable and smudge-proof coverage. Users are directed to apply the product wet in a thin, even layer using a sponge or brush. The makeup is said to dry to a matte finish with long-lasting effects.

Party Makeup with Nikki
Searches for "party makeup by Nikki" are up 110%, also according to Google Trends. The latest potentially relevant headline is an interview with makeup artist to the stars Nikki Wolff, who spoke to Glamour South Africa about how she recommends her clients prep their skin for party season. She suggests starting one week ahead of the event and using products such as Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant to exfoliate and hydrate. Among other ingredients, the product contains rice powder, AHAs, salicylic acid and rice enzymes to polish skin. Wolff named several other products and steps to get party-ready, including using cryo tools, facial massage, brightening under-eye masks and skin-plumping products.

Snail Mucin Eye Cream
Snail mucus is back! ... or perhaps it never left. Exploding Topics put "snail mucin eye cream" at the top of the list this week. Such products are said to nourish skin and provide anti-aging properties. Interest in the CosRx brand snail mucin eye cream, up 186% in the past year, has in part driven this trend, which the source reports belongs to a larger snail mucin skin care metatrend.
#SunflowerNails and #RootConcealer
Finally, per Spate's TikTok hashtag tracker, #sunflowernails and #rootconcealer are up 37,000+ and 35,000+ percent, respectively, week over week. Reference to the sunflower nails appears related to press-on style fake nails with sunflowers printed on them. In terms of root concealer, L'Oreal's Magic Root Cover Up was featured inTikTok videos.
