On April 8, 2024, Sophim announced the acquisition of Novastell, a leading supplier of nutritional and functional ingredients. Sophim has a strong presence in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors and this merger marks a new stage in the company's diversification.

The transaction, finalized in September 2023, led to an official presentation of the teams in Peyruis, in the south of France, in early 2024. Per the company, through this integration, Sophim raised its consolidated sales for 2023 to 36 million euros, with a total workforce of 80, while asserting its status as an integrated and autonomous player.
"Synergies between cosmetics and nutraceuticals are increasingly numerous. This acquisition will enable us to accelerate our growth and bring new products to market more quickly," said Jacques Margnat, chairman and CEO of Sophim.
