Phisoderm have reformulated its products to create additional pH balanced skin care. Parent company Mentholatum bought the brand in November 2005, and has since been revamping it. Instead of covering the traditional skin care market, the company reportedly is trying to target women ages 20-30.
"This is the new generation of Phisoderm. We wanted to take this older brand and make it relevant again to today's younger women," said Jennifer Hamberger, brand manager for Mentholatum in a Women's Wear Daily report.
The company has announced that it will launch four skin care products in February. The line will include a gel, a nighttime moisturizer, a foaming face wash and a toner. The products reportedly will be formulated to cleanse the skin and protect from the environment. The moisturizers and facial wash will contain polyglutamic acid to maintain moisture, while the toner will contain hyaluronic acid to draw moisture into the skin.
