Proctor & Gamble is simplifying their product development procedures by adopting a new software. The company entered an agreement with Enginuity PLM to streamline their global product development.
P&G conducted a thorough selection process before choosing Enginuity that included surveys, focus groups, and a global pilot of the software. All of the tests showed positive results, according to the company, and the software was chosen based on its out-of-box completeness. The development/calculation engine of the software proved to be a beneficial element for P&G, and the global scalability and flexibility of the sofware also played a part in the selection process.
The adoption of the sofware will reportedly give P&G researchers a means of communicating globally, sharing formulas and product knowledge. In addition, P&G has found that the software will allow cost-effective formulas to be developed. Enginuity software was created to assist the product development of FDA regulated industries such as cosmetics, over-the-counter(OTC) drugs and consumer packaged goods(CPG).
