Fragrance company L'Artisan Parfumeur is entering the skin care market with Jatamansi. The new line is named after the Himalayan nar plant, which is found at altitudes of nearly 10,000 feet and is said to have healing and relaxing properties. An extract from the plant is a key ingredient in the line. The line also features rose and jojoba extracts.
The line has received organic certification by France's Eco Cert. Jatamansi reportedly will be launched in the United States in March 2007. It has already been launched in France and the United Kingdom. The company has reported plans to launch an eau de toilette based on the skin care line.
