Inter Parfums, Inc. has reported second quarter 2006 results. The company announced second quarter net sales to have increased 15 percent to US&0.3 million from US$61.3 million in second quarter 2005. S, G & A, according to the report, showed a two percent gain from 45 percent to 47 percent. The increase was reportedly due to start up expenses relating to specialty retail personal care products programs. Net income for both periods was reported as US$3.2 million.The company reported an increase in net sales for the time period, nearly seven percent to $141.2 million.
"Much of the increase was fueled by the initial launch of Burberry London for women," said Inter Parfums chairman and CEO Jean Madar, who also noted that each of the company's six largest prestige brand achieved sales growth.
