Elizabeth Arden will release an antiaging line this winter. Intervene, a three-product treatment line formulated to slow the acceleration of skin aging caused by environmental factors and stress, is set to launch in December. The line reportedly was created by looking at plants in their dormancy period. The company's studies showed that a botanical extract from the narcissus bulb taken while the plant is dormant could slow accelerated skin aging.
The company, therefore, formulated the narcissus extract into its Biodormin technology to delay the process by which cells mature. The product line is also formulated with soy peptides and red clover reportedly to minimize changes in protein levels and from hormonal shifts and support collagen production. The line will include a cleanser, moisture cream and moisture lotion.
