The Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association's (CTFA) Science Week, held in Newark, New Jersey on October 23-26,2006, produced record attendance. Nearly 400 participants attended the event, which featured five workshops. Workshops included, Introduction to Cosmetic Ingredient Nomenclature and Product Labeling; GMP's: A Worldwide Perspective on Compliance, Risk and Resources; Resolving Microbiological Issues in Manufacturing; Color Technology-Challenges and Solutions; and Current Risk Assessment Practices in the Cosmetic Industry. A number of FDA employees and other industry experts participated in the event to make it a successful regulatory session.
