Michael Stromberg has been appointed to chief executive officer of Crabtree & Evelyn Ltd. and Crabtree & Evelyn Group. In this role, he will oversee the company’s operations in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
Stromberg brings over 20 years of experience in the industry to the company. Prior to joining Crabtree & Evelyn, Stromberg was executive vice president for Bath & Body Works and executive vice president/general manager for Bath & Body Works’ White Barn Candle division. Stromberg spent almost 12 years as a part of the Bath & Body Works executive team during the rapid expansion of this personal care and home fragrance retailer and reportedly contributed to its annual sales to over US$2 billion.
Most recently, Stromberg was the chief merchandising officer for American Signature Inc., a privately held $1.2 billion vertically integrated furniture retailer with over 130 stores under the names American Signature, Value City Furniture and Rooms Today. Prior to his experience at Bath & Body Works and then American Signature, Inc., he spent time at Jergens/Kao Brands and Borden Inc.
