Skin Performance Laboratories (SP Labs), an operation of Créations Couleurs, has introduced small color pearls that optimize soft focus effect and film-forming capacity of color cosmetics. Youth Pearls are offered as part of a clear gel or by themselves.
According to the company, women in China have long been condensing face powder into tiny spheres to ration it. The spheres included green to hide redness, pink to add rosiness and white/gold to provide a soft gold. This technology was adapted for the pearls.
The pearls will break when they are being dispensed from the pump packaging. The pearls can be formualated into a mist to impart a soft focus effect, in a gel system to impart a high level of moisture, or in a cream to reduce the appearance of fine lines or wrinkles.
