Gary Dee has joined the newly formed care chemicals business unit of BASF Performance Chemicals. He has been named the business director of personal care ingredients for North America. Dee comes to BASF with 17 years of global sales, marketing, manufacturing and supply chain experience in ozone performance acids, plastic additives and raw materials for the cosmetic, toiletry and personal care markets.
Dee has been involved in the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, the Personal Care Products Council, the American Chemical Society and the Chemical Club of Philadelphia. His patents include the substitution of mineral oil with plant derived raw materials for cosmetics and personal care applications.
