The Sense of Smell Institiute (SOSI) has awarded Australian researchers John Prescott and Jenelle Wilkie of James Cook University with the "Science of Fragrance" Award. Their investigation into the effect of odors on pain tolorance was the research that got them noticed for the award.
The Science of Fragrance Award was created by SOSI and AChemS to recognize scientific research relevant to the fragrance industry.The two were given the award at the annual meeting of the Association for Chemoreception Sciences (AChemS) in April 2006 in Sarasota, Fla.
