As many readers know, the Cosmetics & Toiletries (C&T) Allē Awards bring beauty innovation into the spotlight. The Allēs honor the scientific acumen, formulating skill, intuition and vision of innovators involved throughout the cosmetics and personal care product development process.

Months in the Making
"It's been months in the making, so I'm supercharged to debut our new awards submission site," says Rachel Grabenhofer, managing scientific editor, C&T and awards program manager. "We've also just come down from the 'high' of the 2024 Allēs and our celebration magazine issue is nearly out the door — be sure to check out May — so it's time to set our sights ahead to 2025."
New Entry Type and Category
New for 2025, the program introduces a "Prototype Product/Chassis" entry type, differentiating commercially optimized formulas from innovative conceptual ones. In addition, the categories have been reworked to highlight Wellness, an area where so many recent innovations have focused.
"We're trying to stay at the front edge of beauty innovation," explains Grabenhofer, "and wellness concepts continue to flood our industry, in one way or another." She adds that in this case, the category is defined as cosmetics and personal care products "intended to boost self-confidence, relaxation, immunity, etc., for the consumer’s overall well-being, quality of life and related beauty benefits."

Eligibility and Timing
Any product launched in 2024 is eligible for entry in the 2025 awards. The Early Bird rate will end on July 1, 2024, with a final submission deadline of Aug. 1. Judging will take place in September and October, and finalists will be announced in November.
Winners will not be revealed until the awards dinner, held in an exclusive, red-carpet style and aligned with our 2025 Beauty Accelerate event. Stay tuned for details.
