d'Alba Skin Care: Truffle K-Beauty
Searches on "D Alba Skin Care" rose 950% in the past week, per Google Trends. This brand was recently featured by PureWow in the report, "8 of the Best Korean Skincare Brands that are Worth the Hype, According to a Korean Beauty Editor Who's Tried it All."
Per the article, the main ingredient touted across the line is white truffle extract sourced in Piedmont, Italy (Trufferol, the brand's signature ingredient). The truffles are said to be rare and rich with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, and effectiveness six times that of the well-known propolis (based on total phenol content studied by distilled water fraction).
The brand's website highlights the d'Alba Piedmont First Spray Serum, which is a best-selling dual layer product that users shake well before using. The product is certified vegan and dermatologically tested, and designed to hydrate skin and improve its radiance thanks to the Trufferol.
Surfactant-free, the double layered serum and oil is claimed to instantly moisturize the skin and impart a refreshing, glowy finish. The serum layer features the Italian white truffle extract, niacinamide and chia seed extract for skin relief, elasticity and glow. The oil layer features avocado oil, sunflower seed oil and other plant-based oils to lock in moisture and radiance.

Ginseng Toner and Skin Care Meta Trend
According to Exploding Topics, interest in ginseng toner in the past two years has grown 268%. Per the source, such hydrating toners are said to "help restore the skin to its natural, slightly acidic pH level." They can remove dead skin cells for a more even complexion. Rising interest is attributed to the brand Beauty of Joseon; searches its ginseng toner grew 6,600% in the past year.
Ginseng toners are said to be part of a larger ginseng skin care meta trend, driven in part by the belief that ginseng promotes collagen production and reduces signs of aging. Ginseng serums, eye creams and sunscreens are examples of such products. For one, Origins offers a Ginzing SPF 30 daily moisturizer featuring fermented golden ginseng.
#DroopyEyesMakeup
Finally, according to Spate, the hashtag for "droopy eyes" makeup (#droopyeyesmakeup) has racked up 3.1 million views on TikTok in the past week. Various videos include tips to give hooded eyes a lift, enhance or correct eye shape and more.
Just a few days ago, InStyle reported on the characteristic of droopy eyes in the article, "Makeup Tips for Downturned Eyes, Straight from MUAs" (makeup artists). In the latter, one technique advises consumers to apply a dark brown eyeshadow along the lower lash line and "smoke it out toward the tail of the brow" to create the illusion of a cat eye. Products recommended for this effect include Jones Road The Best Eyeshadow and MAC Satin Eyeshadow.
